Our mission is simple: to share our passion for authentic Mexican food made with clean ingredients that nourish both our bodies and our spirits. No matter the season, our menu will always revolve around the Mexican trinity tradition of corn, chile and beans. We are proud to use ingredients that have been nurtured slowly, with care, all the way from the farms to our kitchen. Bienvenidos! Whether you enjoy a communal meal with a parrillada or quench your thirst at the bar with one of our signature margaritas, here at Luna we celebrate that we all live, love and feast under the same moon. As much as we are different, we are more of the same.

Business Owner: Jo L.
Raised in East San Jose, John Lopez was surrounded by Mexican culture and Mexican traditions–and his training came from the home and the heart. His parents came to this country from San Juan De Los Lagos, Jalisco and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.
Jo was born in San Jose, as her mother was before her. Her father grew up in California in the 1930’s surrounded by agriculture and worked in the fields during childhood.
Before opening LUNA Mexican Kitchen, John and Jo spent over two decades in the music industry. As the founders of a record label that charted national hits, they spent a lot of their time traveling. Inspired by the places they visited, they learned how important service was to creating a memorable experience.
After Jo become a Certified Natural Chef through the Bauman College culinary program, they centered their vision for the LUNA Mexican Kitchen around guest experience and connectedness. They are proud to serve the community that raised them.
